OCTOBER NEW MOON INTENTION SETTING CLASS
One of my favorite parts of what we do at Aurora Life Sports is finding ways to take yoga off the mat and integrate it into real, everyday life. Carrying that sense of presence, clarity, and focus into our busy routines is where the real magic happens.
That’s why I love our monthly New Moon Intention Setting classes so much.
Instead of moving through life on autopilot, these monthly sessions give us a dedicated space to pause, check in with ourselves, and set clear intentions for the month ahead.
During September, our theme centered around Ahimsa (non-violence) and Respect—cultivating active kindness, non-harming, and deep respect for ourselves and others as we navigate real-life growth. In focus are two of my favorite mantras from the month:
✨ “My movement is for harmony, my technique is for peace.”
✨ “I train to protect and restore, never to provoke or dominate.”
So we’ll use what we learned in September and apply it in October!
Life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges, busy schedules, and stressful situations at us that can test our patience and peace. But these mantras remind us that true strength lies in restraint, compassion, and maintaining balance within ourselves. When we lead with respect and aim to restore rather than react, nothing can throw us off course.
As we transition into October, this grounding in Ahimsa creates the essential foundation for our next focus: Satya (truthfulness) and Integrity. Once we learn to treat ourselves and others with respect and compassion, we create a safe space to get honest about where we are, align our actions with our authentic values, and live with complete integrity both on and off the mat.
