Madeline VanBruinessen
2026 World Championships - Gi and no-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Her dedication to the sport earned her a NAGA World Chamionship as well as a spot on Team Canada. She trains 7 days a week with great passion and intensity!
Madeline competes regularly, earning top podium spots locally and internationally.
She has been honored to win the Ontario Open 2 yrs in a row. She has been competing at high levels the last 3 years bringing home numerous medals and a championship belt.
Through bjj, Madeline is shaping and inspiring the next generation of young athletes to her sport. She helps to build their confidence, strength and learn resilience both on and off the mats! She coaches, trains and inspires.
Madeline is deeply committed to her community and shows this through her volunteering. She volunteers at her local food pantry, each week sharing her smile with clients and showing discretion and compassion. Volunteering at school bbqs, coaching, dojo fundraisers for kids competition team...etc... she keeps busy!
Madeline's unwavering passion for her sport and dedication has gotten her to this point. She will continue to move forward - while looking for support to help her reach the next level!
Mia Henderson
Motocross
Mantra: “Rise through the Grind”
What started as a MX summer camp at Sand Del Lee has turned into 8 years of MX racing for Mia Henderson. She has raced all over Ontario and Upper New York State. Her favourite race, so far, was the 11th Annual Women’s Event at Cato MX, with 40 women racers. She hopes this year will be even bigger!
Mia is motivated by the fun of racing and the challenge of improving every time she rides. She focuses on working hard, staying positive, and continuing to grow this race season! She’s excited and grateful to be supported by Aurora Life Sports and DEIMLING Architecture & Interior Designs, and hopes to inspire more girls to get involved in MX racing.
Her goal this fall/winter is to work hard on and off the bike to recover from injury to get back up to speed.
Thompson Deimling
Motocross
Mantra: “I WILL be at the start line”
Thompson has been riding motocross since he was five years old, and from the very beginning it was clear: this sport is simply part of who he is. He’s grown so quickly as a rider that he has jumped bike sizes almost every season, yet he continues to rise to every challenge with grit and enthusiasm.
In 2024, Thompson earned a 3rd place finish at Stocco Lake and secured 5th overall in the 65B BTB points standing. What motivates him is simple: he loves to ride. He lives and breathes everything moto. His approach to training and competition reflects that passion—enjoyment and friendships first, followed by steady dedication to improving his weaker points and showing up as his best self. He trains every week throughout the year either on or off the bike.
What excites Thompson most about being sponsored by Aurora Life Sports is the opportunity it gives him to focus even more on developing his skills. With support behind him, he can train with intention, work on technique, and keep pushing himself to grow as a rider.
Thompson’s resilience, attitude, and pure love of the sport make him a standout young athlete and a proud representative of the values we champion: commitment, community, and the joy of the journey.
Veida Deimling
Equestrian
Mantra: “One barrel at a time”
Veida Deimling has been a horse lover since birth. Right from the beginning, she was drawn to anything and everything horses, and by the time she was two years old she was already in the saddle. What began as a childhood fascination quickly grew into a lifelong passion, and she has been dedicated to the equestrian lifestyle ever since.
Over the years, Veida has earned well over 50 first, second, and third place ribbons across a wide range of competitions and riding styles. Her natural ability, balance, and intuitive feel for the horse are unmistakable—but competition is only one part of her story. For Veida, the heart of riding is connection.
Her horse, Keiran, is her closest companion, and the bond they share is undeniable. They spend countless hours together at Terelisa Farm—training, exploring, and simply being in each other’s presence. Watching them work as a team is something special: a blend of trust, communication, and quiet magic that only comes from a deep, genuine partnership.
What excites Veida most about being sponsored by Aurora Life Sports is that it allows her to focus even more on what matters most to her: developing the bond with her best friend, Keiran. Amelia Galveias
Figure Skating
Amelia has been skating since she was 3 years old following her sister’s footsteps. Although her sister has always shown grace, Amelia has always been the powerhouse with strength and resilience. Nothing can stop her!
Amelia has won second and third place in her competitions, persistence at her personal best. Amelias is a Star 3 and working on her jumps and has easily perfected the “catch foot” move which she’s been asked to teach Star 5 skaters! Amelia has already been approached by spectators commenting on how beautiful she is to watch.
Amelia enjoys the PA program and giving back to the community as she remembers how she felt when she firth started.
Aurora Life Sports has enhanced her life with new friendships, developing her flexibility and balance. Aurora Life Sports is a very supportive community no matter what stage you are at.

Isabelle Galveias
Figure Skating
Isabelle Galveias has been skating since she has been 4 years old. Despite the bumps and bruises, Isabelle got right back up with grace and perseverance. It is a pleasure to watch Isabelle skate with elegance and poise.
Over the years she has won second and third place ribbons in competitions, persistence at her personal best. At the age of 10, it was seamless for Isabelle to perform the “Shoot the duck” move on the ice. She is now a Star 4, attempting to master her combination jumps and sits spins. Its amazing to see her through her thinking process, choice of music, and the control of her solos. What a beautiful evolution to watch.
Isabelle has made many friends to help each other in their journey as well as volunteering her time in the community as a PA assistant to give back to the community.
Dream come true: She has met the four-time World Champion and Canadian National figure skater, Kurt Browning. She will always cherish his signature on her skates.
What’s important to Isabelle are strengthening bonds with her friends and offer each other support, learning new activities, and just having plan old fun with smiles.
